Over my 32 year professional career, I have earned the professional reputation as the “super specialist” when it comes to resolving extraordinarily complex cases. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I strive to tailor my services to each client's expectation. My interventions may include cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety, cutting-edge, research-based trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy designed specifically for complex traumas, and even animal assisted interventions. The ability to skillfully craft a specific intervention plan for each unique situation is the cornerstone of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
In some situations, counseling or psychotherapy is not enough. Chronic life stressors and logistical challenges like balancing the physical, medical, legal, social, and emotional needs of a busy family, are best addressed with Comprehensive Case Management. This intervention is a family-driven, result oriented, wrap-around service delivered with the discretion and professionalism only highly trained Licensed Clinical Social Workers can provide. I am recognized by the National Association of Social Work as a Master Case Manager. There is no higher certification available.
For some families, a legal solution is required. I am in training to become a fully sanctioned Child Custody Evaluator in the State of Texas. The Texas Family Code requires extensive and rigorous elements of proficiency be learned while under direct supervision. At this time, I am able to accept a court order to conduct a child custody evaluation in conjunction with my supervisor Dr. Tammi Axelson DSW.
